Story 2: Chapter 2

The crowd was silent. The only sound left was breathing, not solely from Elizabeth who had collapsed onto the ground from exhaustion, but from those surrounding, in a pure shared moment of absolute awe. The wind outside had stopped, trees halted in their swaying, birds stopped singing.

Then, a furious clack of thunder sounded, like a primordial horn being blown from another age. The fabric of the tent began to rustle lightly, then harder and harder still, and the whole tent in its entirety was ripped upward in  the blink of an eye, rushing into the sky like a fish caught on a line.

By the time the audience had a chance to blink their eyes, chaos had erupted: rain fell down like a net, covering everything under the sky; animals cried out, terrified; people the same, everyone was reduced to their very base nature: fight or flight. Everyone except for Elizabeth.

Richard saw standing there,  David chiseled from the same beautiful stone that was Venus- in an unfaltering, idyllic stance. The eye of the storm.

He knew this day was coming, and as scary what it was, he felt ready.

Story 2 Chapter 1

The body lay on the floor sitting in a large pool of dark blood. Roger could smell the scent of gunpowder in the morning. It wasn't a particularly bad smell, it just was.

The dead woman's body had been sitting in his living room for hours. Roger had been sitting there for hours as well, watching as the blood flowed from her body and silently congealed. A bullet hole lay over her heart. It had been a cold heart even when it had beat strongly.

I suppose if I am going to tell this story, I should do it properly and start right from the beginning.
The woman's name had been Elizabeth. Elizabeth had been beautiful and had many admirers. Roger had been one of them. They had met under a red tent as workers with the Bono Circus. The day had been filled with the smell of peanuts and elephant shit. The tent was teeming with sweaty people. But something was amiss. The animals were nervous. The performers were nervous. Even the crowd seemed nervous. And then Elizabeth walked in dressed in a shimmery blue number with long flowing black hair and eyes the color of honey dew. The crowd hushed with excited expectation. This is what they had all waited for.

This beautiful woman was about to perform the miraculous!  She planted both feet on the ground, rubbed her lovely hands together and stood perfectly still as words left her lips. The crowd nor the performers understood the words. The words were guttural in nature and seemed to be filled with primitive energy.

The woman slowly stripped her clothing off as the crowd gasped. She stood there waiting as eyes roamed her naked body taking in every orifice they could. And suddenly Elizabeth began to spin, slow at first and then much faster. Soon she was a beautiful glowing blur. After about a minute Elizabeth began to slow down. Her body was coming into focus ever so slowly but what it brought with it was something new. For you see as Elizabeth finally came to a halt, there standing in front of all of us was a beautiful, naked man. Elizabeth was until the day she died a wonder of science. A marvel of magic. She was in every sense a marvelous "Orlando".
